naming and shaming: tina fey

I love to play strippers and to imitate them. I love using that idea for comedy, but the idea of actually going there? I feel like we all need to be better than that. That industry needs to die, by all of us being a little bit better than that.”

I knew there was always a reason I could never fully get into her.

DAMN IT, FEY

I started disliking her when I read her book. She was all “YAY FEMINISM!” and I was all, “HELL YEAH, GIRL :D” then she went, “Of course I know now that no
one can “steal” boyfriends against their will, not even Angelina Jolie itself.

REALLY, TINA? REALLY?

freal. with her book, i went in thinking she was ok and i came out of it really really disliking her. i think my problem tho is that when someone writes a biographical sort of book, i judge it more than say a dumb thing said in an interview, because sometimes you say something super dumb and you didn’t mean it at all and it’s like ok i get that. but you wrote a book. a BOOK. a book that you stressed and hemmed and hawed over and you wrote a line and then deleted and then rewrote the same line in five different ways and then you saved it and then deleted it the next day and you read and reread chapters and paragraphs and then it was edited and your friends and family read it and then it was published and after all this fine-tooth combing of your book you never noticed the anti-woman themes that kept cropping up? ok tina

it’s just so baffling to me that she doesn’t see how hypocritical she’s being
